I want to know, how might your life be different if:
You felt so inspired by your mission that you could easily inspire others to get on board and wholeheartedly commit?
You were so comfortable in your own skin that you could show up authentically – at work, everywhere – and pave a path for others to do the same?
You were so aligned with your strengths, gifts and values, and your unique way of serving your team, tribe or the planet, that you’d never have to buy in to notions of needing to be different, molded or “fixed” to be the best leader you can be?
How might the way you work be different? How might the way you lead be different? How might your life be different?
There’s a specific type of leader the world is hungry for right now. It’s a leader who can truly connect with people, is open, and shows humility and empathy. They’re qualities we see as inspiring. And I’m on a mission to help develop more of those leaders, to feed that hunger.
So, I have just 3 things to say this week:
- The world needs more leaders who are inspiring
- We need to be those leaders
- If you’re not inspiring, you’re not leading (and I couldn’t care less whether your job title says ‘leader’ or not, if you’re bothering to read this you are one, because you care about making a difference, am I right?)

It’s time to embrace the qualities you already have that will make you the leader the world needs you to be.
It’s time to redefine leadership for our times. Let’s cut the crap and complaining about how so many leaders get it wrong (I’m so fired up about this) and be our best. Let’s be the change we want to see, for those we care about.
Let’s be crazy enough to think we can change the world. It starts with you, using everything you already have, and all that you already are, to be your best so you can make the biggest difference you’re capable of making.
